About the company:

Our client is the fastest-growing Korean convenience store chain and they are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to fill the vital role of Assistant Manager - Retail Development. This position offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the retail expansion efforts, playing a key role in extending the brand's presence across various states in Malaysia.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Expansion Planning

  • Develop and execute expansion plans to cover multiple states, working collaboratively with the team to ensure strategic growth and to facilitate and expedite expansion initiatives.

2. Quality and Quantity Outlet Targeting

  • Conduct comprehensive on-the-ground research to identify potential outlets, meeting with landlords, agents, management, residents, and business owners for detailed discussions.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships to lay the foundation for future development and expansion opportunities.

3. Negotiation and Agreement Management

  • Navigate the competitive market by skillfully negotiating Letters of Intent (LOI), Letters of Offer (LOO), and Tenancy Agreements, always safeguarding the company's core interests.

4. Renewal Management

  • Monitor lease renewal cases, ensuring a proactive approach with a 6-month notice before expiration.
  • Conduct a thorough study of the latest market trends and situations before finalizing renewal agreements.

5. Project / Tender Handling

  • Must be capable of managing tender projects.

6. Administrative Duties and SOP Implementation

  • Oversee the implementation of new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and administrative tasks related to retail development.
  • Manage documentation, such as the Retail Development form, for the proper release of all deposits.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field.
  • Proven experience in retail development or related roles.
  • Experience working in Chain Stores for F&B / Pharmacy / Convenient Store will be added advantages.
  • Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and competitive market.

Remuneration:

RM 6,000 - RM 10,000
