Summary

The Manager Pricing and Logistics role is a regional role responsible for developing intelligent methodologies to determine true supply chain costs and actual margins of the products that idsMED distributes (medical devices and consumables). The role is highly analytical in nature which involves gathering system data and manual data from internal and external sources. The strategic objective of the role is to improve the profitability of our business by proactive analysis of our costs and margins and influencing the pricing strategy at country level.

Job Responsibilities

Pricing Analytics and Management:

  • Gather data from multiple sources, store and maintain in a structured manner for analysis and future retrieval.
  • Perform deep analysis of supply chain cost including inbound freight, warehousing, transportation, and other costs.
  • Develop a methodology to determine real logistics cost and true margin of products that we distribute. The methodology should cater to different products categories, countries, and business units.
  • Implement the pricing methodology in different countries / business units by preparing templates, guidance documents and training necessary stakeholders.
  • Challenge existing pricing and price strategies in relation to supply chain costs by using data analytics and possibly benchmarking to market data.

Pricing Execution for a Regional Business Unit:

  • Lead list pricing strategy formulation and take necessary list pricing actions, under leadership of the Regional Business Unit Head.
  • Compute and maintain Price Master and discount matrices in a timely fashion.
  • Compute cost of sales by working closely with various internal stakeholders including country sales, marketing, logistics and product development team.
  • Prepare inter-company quotations for ad hoc special projects and promotions.

Logistics Management:

  • Support regional and country logistics projects mainly involving data analysis and implementation of cost saving / efficiency improvement initiatives.
  • Be the custodian of regional logistics cost monitoring and alert the stakeholders proactively on any cost over-runs and foreseeable risks.
    

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years working experience in pricing / cost analysis.
  • Possess Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance & Accountancy or Mathematics & Statistics.
  • Working experience in Logistics industry / department or Business Analysis is strongly recommended.
  • Finance/ Cost Accountants who want to focus on pricing / logistics analysis are welcome to apply.
  • Highly analytical, detail oriented, and structured thinking ability.
  • You are a self-starter and comfortable in working with uncertainty.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and intermediate database management skills (SQL and BI).
  • Ability to work with colleagues from other departments, more importantly the ability to ask the difficult questions and gather the difficult information.

Remuneration

MYR 7,000 - MYR 9,000
