About the job Senior Estate Manager - Palm Oil (PNG)

Our client is a company incorporated and has been operating its businesses in Papua New Guinea for more than 10 years. It is amongst the largest plantation companies in PNG developing more than 100,000 hectares of land into large oil palm plantations.

Role & Responsibilities :

  • To be responsible for overall project profit & lost, set out objective of project proposal, progress planning and direction;
  • To produce project budget and plans; as well as financial reporting of the project;
  • To implement the Standard Agricultural Practice (SAP) and to ensure its standard practice is being followed by all the employees in the project area(s) pursuant to the requirement;
  • To oversee and confirm all payments and ensure all financial/claims/payments submission is as per the Company's policies; and supporting documents are compiled in accordingly;
  • To monitor work movement, cost control, implement and initiate training;
  • To motivate and promote landowners participations in major socio-economic development, and to initiate awareness project for the benefits of the Company's projects;
  • Any other assigned role & responsibility as of and when required the management.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor or Master Degree in Agriculture.
  • At least 10 - 20 year(s) of working experience in oil palm plantation and agriculture, and management of 3,500 to 10,000 hectares plantation.
  • Good knowledge of accounting standards and systems use in oil palm and agriculture plantation.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, integrity, self-motivated with high degree of commitment and time pressure to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Ability to work independently.

General Requirements :

  • Age between 35-55 years old
  • Medically and physically fit to work (through medical assessment checkup)
  • 3. Verbal & written communication ability; both in English and Bahasa.
  • Able to work in Papua New Guinea
