About the Company

Our client is a reputable manufacturer of precision components and modules in high-mix low-volume. They are an established supplier for many major global players in the Optical, Semicon, Diagnostics, Medical, and Life Science industries. They are looking for a Business Operations Assistant Manager to join the team. 

The Finance and Admin Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial statements, reports and forecast, and leading a team of finance professionals to ensure smooth workflow and task allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Finance
  • Manage full set of accounts of 3 related companies and group consolidation. This includes Manufacturing Operation.
  • Assist to prepare Management Reporting: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow
  • Budget & Cost Control: On yearly basis prepare hourly rates and budget and oversee proper cost control throughout the company.
  • oversee Tax, Customs & Compliance: Yearly tax computations, SST, statutory payments, Customs Duties, Company Secretary matters
  • Fully responsible for Yearly Audit. Prepare audit documentation and support auditors.
  • Financing & Incentives: Work with manager to arrange financing and work with consultants to apply for grants.

2. Corporate Affairs & Compliance

  • Oversee day to day interactions with government and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee the Occupational Safety and Health committee and lead auditor for ISO-9001 compliance.

3. Admin

  • Oversee the Admin section of office purchases, contracts, and external liaison with authority. Support in worker visa applications.

4. Team Leadership & Staff Development

  • Lead and mentor the Business Operations team, ensuring motivation, performance, and discipline.
  • Stand in for senior management when required.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting or ACCA. 
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in general finance and full set accounts and 2 years in supervisory role. 
  3. Experience in manufacturing industry is an advantage.
  4. Strong knowledge of finance functions of ERP systems (Epicor).
  5. Excellent communication skill with good proficiency in written and spoken English
  6. Highly analytical, organized, and excellent time management

Remuneration

MYR 6,000 to MYR 7,000
