Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Storage Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable storage solutions that align with the organization's evolving IT infrastructure needs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAN, NAS, and cloud storage systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage robust storage infrastructure to meet business and operational requirements.
- Monitor performance and health of storage systems, providing proactive capacity planning and optimisation.
- Administer and support SAN, NAS, and cloud-based storage environments.

Ensure the security and integrity of stored data across all platforms.

Perform and manage data backup and recovery processes.
- Optimize storage performance through tuning and resource management.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of storage systems, procedures, and configurations.
- Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to execute storage-related projects and migrations.
- Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshoot complex storage-related issues.
- Research, evaluate, and implement new storage technologies and best practices.
- Automate repetitive storage administration tasks using scripts and automation tools.
- Conduct regular audits of storage systems to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, simulations, and testing to ensure system resilience.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a storage engineering or related IT infrastructure role.
- Certifications in EMC, NetApp, IBM, HP, Huawei, VMware, Hyper-V, or similar technologies are preferred.
- Proven experience with storage protocols and technologies including SAN, NAS, iSCSI, FC, NFS, and SMB.
- Familiarity with cloud storage platforms and virtualization technologies.
