Job Summary
The Manager of Production Operations is responsible for overseeing all printing operations within a high-volume production environment. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role leads Operations Supervisors across multiple shifts to ensure consistent productivity, quality, and operational performance. The Manager plays a critical role in translating strategic objectives into day-to-day execution, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture centered on client satisfaction and associate engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to improve Productivity, Efficiency, and Quality (PEQ)
- Lead and manage Operations Supervisors across multiple shifts to meet operational and client objectives
- Manage departmental expenses, including labor, commodities, and discretionary spending
- Create, maintain, and execute capacity plans to meet or exceed client Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Establish, communicate, monitor, and refine department and individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Apply technical expertise in print equipment, production technologies, and client product mix to maximize equipment utilization and uptime
- Provide ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and talent development for direct reports and team members
- Communicate and reinforce organizational values, vision, and quality policies, promoting a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Support a work environment aligned with the Service Profit Chain and a commitment to client and associate success
Job Title: Manager, Production Operations (Mid Shift)
Reporting To: Director of Operations
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Flexibility is required during training periods and peak production cycles
