Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and expand our mortgage origination team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for recruiting, training, and developing Loan Officers while ensuring efficient, compliant production across all channels.

The ideal candidate combines strong operational knowledge, pipeline management expertise, and the ability to motivate, coach, and grow a high-performing team. This position is onsite / hybrid at our Oak Lawn, IL headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Recruit, hire, train, and mentor Loan Officers and sales support staff

• Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and consistent performance

• Develop structured onboarding and coaching programs

Pipeline & Production Oversight

• Oversee daily pipeline activity to ensure timely, high-quality closings

• Partner with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to resolve issues

• Ensure compliance with company policies, agency guidelines, and regulations

Growth & Business Development

• Drive origination growth through coaching, lead management, and referral partnerships

• Support Loan Officers in expanding relationships with real estate and financial partners

• Track and report key production metrics to senior leadership

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in mortgage origination

• 2+ years in a production management or leadership role

• Demonstrated success recruiting, hiring, and developing Loan Officers

• Strong leadership, coaching, and performance-management skills

• Knowledge of FNMA / FHA / VA guidelines and retail mortgage operations

• Must live within commuting distance of Oak Lawn, IL

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• NMLS license (active or previously held) — highly preferred

• Bachelors degree

• Experience with Encompass LOS

• Background in independent mortgage banking or small-lender environments

• Interest in future executive-level leadership growth

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $100,000

• Bonuses: $10,000 per Loan Officer hire (paid over onboarding + performance milestones)

• Additional management bonuses, overrides, and profit-sharing
