Empower Personnel Limited is a recruitment agency as defined in the Employment Agencies and Employment Business Regulations 2013. We collect personal data from the following types of people to allow us to undertake our business:

Candidates  

In order to provide the most appropriate employment opportunities that are tailored to our candidates, we need to process and collect certain information. We only ask for details which will help us to find candidates the most suitable employers appropriate. This information includes:

Communication 

 

Empower Personnel Limited will communicate with you by using email and telephone. We may send you messages relating to the availability of career opportunities , security or other service-related issues.  

Data Retention  

If you have signed up for our recruitment services, Empower Personnel Limited will retain your information for up to 6 years, as required for accounting and placement purposes. Should you request for your account to be closed or our services to be revoked, Empower Personnel will delete and remove all of your personal data within a maximum period of 30 days and notify you accordingly. 

How we process and use your data

Empower Personnel will only collect the relevant data to carry out our duties to either; a client, a candidate or to assist an enquiry. We will only collect your data if we believe that it will allow us to fulfil our business duties and obligations. We will always act with integrity and transparency when handling your data, ensuring that permission is granted to act on behalf of or with your data. If it is necessary to use your data for another reason, we will inform you and ask permission prior to carrying out any activity associated with this. We will ensure that your data is reviewed and updated as requested. Your data will be held on our cloud based ATS (applicant tracking software) and, as per our providers terms of privacy and data protection policy, will be held securely. In addition, we may hold other physical and technological measures to protect your data in line with GDPR and data protection regulations. 

We will use or access information from your CV, provided by you to us. Alternatively, this information may be retrieved from a number of third party recruitment database websites, of which you would have granted these websites permission to make your CV available to recruitment companies. We will use your CV to assess your suitability and experience for vacancies which we can currently offer on behalf of our clients. We may also send your CV to our clients for assessment purposes. 

We may collect further data from third parties to provide our service to you. This may include information which a client has requested including; criminal records checks, references and qualifications checks. All data is collected in good faith in order to deliver our recruitment process to you.

We use the above data to offer you the best service possible, including meeting our obligations of our contract between yourself and "us" Empower Personnel Limited. We use analytic software to monitor the traffic on our website in accordance with our cookie policy. 


Third Parties

We work with a number of third party companies who may provide information about you or information on how you use our services. This includes (but is not limited to); website analytics software, virtual assistant software, social media websites and other software providers.


We may be obliged on request to pass your details or information on to trusted third party sources. Our third party sources, in most cases, hold a contract with us which determines that they must store your data by secure means. Third parties include; our clients of whom we on behalf of for recruitment purposes, third party software providers who form part of our recruitment process or website experience and any other third party that we may be required by law in connection with any legal proceedings, including law enforcement agencies or government departments. 

We endeavour to only include safe external links to other websites, which would only be included to offer a complete experience. We advise taking precaution whilst clicking these links. We cannot verify the contents of third party websites, nor are we responsible for any of the content from these websites. Users are held responsible and liable for any damages caused by visiting any external links.

Emails and Marketing

You will receive emails for job alerts or direct emails from our consultants if you have signed up to our services, as we operate an email mailing list service. Users can choose to subscribe to this with their given permission during the sign up process. 

We may send you marketing emails if you have opted in for this service during your sign up process. Subscriber information will be held in accordance to this policy. Subscribers can unsubscribe to this marketing by emailing us at admin@empowerpersonnel.com and verifying your details and confirming your reason for unsubscribing. These marketing emails should only contain relevant jobs or the latest jobs suitable for your skillset or experience, however we cannot guarantee this to be the case with every email. We may also send you other promotional material for job searching purposes or that of which may be appropriate to enhance your experience.  

Download Files 

Whilst we have taken care to ensure that only appropriate files are available for download from this website, we cannot guarantee the authenticity of all documents. We accept no responsibility for third party downloads and downloads provided by third party external websites. We advise using third party anti-virus software to ensure that the files are suitable for downloading.  

Data Security 

Empower Personnel handle data in accordance to GDPR and data protection regulations. That means, as soon as we receive your information, we use appropriate and proportionate security methods in order to store your data safely. Only employers of Empower Personnel are granted full access to this stored information. However, we cannot guarantee the transfer of data being completely secure through the internet, due to external factors out of our control. 

Any attempt to transmit viruses during the use of our services breaches our terms of use and may result in legal action being taken against you. Equally, any attempt to defraud or impersonate our services may result in legal action being taken against you.
