Job Title: DevOps Architect SDR Platforms
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Their mission is to enable secure, reliable, and high-performance communications for defense, aerospace, and critical infrastructure. As a DevOps Architect, you will design and implement scalable infrastructure and automation strategies to support the full lifecycle of SDR systems in mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps Architecture & Strategy
- Design and implement scalable, secure DevOps architecture for SDR systems
- Develop and evolve the strategic roadmap for DevOps tooling and practices
- Establish DevOps best practices including CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure automation
- Architect SDR development and testing environments optimized for performance and security
CI/CD Pipeline Development
- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for SDR software and firmware components
- Develop automated testing, build, and deployment workflows with minimal downtime
- Ensure pipeline reliability across development, staging, and production environments
Infrastructure Management
- Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar
- Manage container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Optimize infrastructure for performance, scalability, and disaster recovery
- Support hybrid environments (cloud + on-prem) with strong security posture
Security Implementation
- Integrate DevSecOps practices across the SDLC
- Automate security scanning and vulnerability management
- Align with NIST, FIPS, RMF, and other compliance frameworks for defense-grade security
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams on audit preparation and remediation
Monitoring & Observability
- Develop observability frameworks for complex SDR systems
- Create monitoring dashboards, alerting, and health checks for distributed systems
- Define KPIs to track performance, reliability, and system availability
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor DevOps engineers and infrastructure specialists
- Work closely with software, hardware, QA, and product teams to align DevOps with project goals
- Translate high-level requirements into actionable DevOps roadmaps
Process Improvement & Innovation
- Identify bottlenecks and implement DevOps process optimizations
- Conduct post-incident reviews and drive resilience improvements
- Stay ahead of industry trends and SDR-specific innovations in infrastructure and tooling
Experience
- 8+ years in DevOps, infrastructure, or SRE roles
- 5+ years experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines
- 4+ years in wireless communications or software-defined radio environments
- Proven experience with DevSecOps in high-security or regulated sectors
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with DevOps toolchains: GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.
- Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Go, Bash)
- Expertise with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
- Advanced Linux/Unix systems administration
- Experience with monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
- Knowledge of network protocols and wireless communication standards
- Familiarity with SDR platforms and DSP fundamentals
- Secure software development and compliance frameworks (e.g. NIST, RMF)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Masters or PhD with a focus on wireless communications or cybersecurity (preferred)
Certifications such as:
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer / Azure DevOps Expert
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- CISSP / CCSP / Security+
- DoD 8570 IAT/IAM Level III certifications
- PMP or Agile (SAFe, Scrum) certifications
