Role Summary

The Senior Regulatory Specialist with an engineering background will be responsible for monitoring and organising the required regulatory approvals for equipment (dispensers, controllers, wireless devices, pumps) for Asia Pacific market.

What You Will Do:

  • Navigate Australia/New Zealand, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and Japan regulations and simplify for internal stakeholder understanding and reference in the new product design
  • Oversee the innovation portfolio for equipment compliance.
  • Lead and coordinate efforts to ensure equipment satisfies appropriate testing standards mandatory for placing in the market.
  • Partner with design engineers and junior regulatory associates by providing technical consulting/guidance, enabling speed to market product launches.
  • Interface with North America and European teams on projects to bring products to market.
  • Ensure current equipment in the field remains fully compliant through product life cycle.
  • Create and maintain files documenting equipment regulatory compliance.
  • Streamline equipment new product development process through Phase Gate process.
  • Work with global team to improve processes and ensure seamless global compliance as necessary.
  • Determine focus areas for Equipment Compliance regulatory change advocacy.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics/Industrial or Telecommunication Engineering. Also considered degrees: Mechanical Engineers and Chemical Engineers.
  • 8+ years of professional work experience.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with business leaders and key technical stakeholders.
  • Experience explaining complex ideas to a diverse range of audiences.
  • Project management experience.

Knowledge of industry safety codes, standards / regulations.

  • Knowledge of telecommunications approvals.
  • Fluency in English and Thai

Desired Characteristics:

  • 3+ years of experience working in certification agency or testing lab or coordinating equipment regulatory approvals or related equipment compliance activity.
  • Familiar with product lifecycle management and engineering change process
  • Familiar in extracting information from SAP
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills
  • Savvy with knowledge management programs
