Whom You'll Be Working For
Client is an APAC headquartered diversified investment firm trading equities, commodities, FX, fixed income (Bonds, Credit & Rates), globally.
About the role
This is a critical leadership role to build and architect a next generation cross asset (Equity, FX, Commodities, Credit/Rate derivatives) 24*7 post trade platform.
What You'll be doing
- Hands on technical lead of backend and frontend developers on middle office application and database development
 - Providing direction and guidance in the development, architecture, implementation and communication of IT development in the firms Middle Office systems (including bookkeeping / risk monitoring / finance accounting functions)
 - Directly facing Senior management team and key stakeholders on development progress regularly, leading daily Jira sprint sections and allocating tasks to the team
 - Identifying practical and cost-effective solutions to tackle operational risk issues and IT security relevant issues across the firm
 - Assisting in setting system risk-related and IT security prevention policies and standards
 
Skills they are looking for
- University degree in Computer Science, and/or Finance, or other relevant disciplines
 - CFA or FRM certificate preferred
 - 5 years of experience in IT roles in reputable financial system provider companies/investment banks/hedge funds
 - Proficient in Python and SQL with ample development experience, especially in the content of trading and PnL management
 - Proficient in web-socket and restful API, especially for the use cases of exchanges
 - Experience in agile method of project management and familiar with using Jira for IT development management
 - Knowledge in traditional financial products including equities, bonds, futures, FX and commodities and understand the post trade flow
 - Extremely organised with strong time-management skills, good communication skills
 - Solid knowledge and experience in Linux production support and cloud environment
 - Comfortable working under pressure and in a constantly changing environment.
 - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to see from macro & micro view.
 - Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
 - Fluent in English and Mandarin
 - Attentive to details, well-organised, self-motivated, a good team player
