Overview:

Our client is Malaysia's first asset-based peer-to-peer (P2P) financing platform focused on supporting underserved SMEs in acquiring business assets through alternative financings.

They are expanding fast and are looking for a BD Executive to join their dynamic Business Development team. 

The successful candidate will play a key role in sourcing and hunting new B2B clients in need of asset-based financing, educating them on company's unique offerings, and converting leads into long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and acquire new SME clients through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Educate clients on company's asset-based lending model and eligibility requirements.
  • Qualify leads and assess financing suitability based on asset-backed risk criteria.
  • Collaborate with credit and operations teams to facilitate smooth onboarding.
  • Maintain strong post-sale relationships to ensure retention and client satisfaction.
  • Track all leads, activity, and pipeline progress via CRM tools.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales KPIs.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally within SME lending, commercial banking, P2P lending, leasing, or fintech.
  • Strong understanding of SME financing needs and challenges.
  • Ability to communicate financial products in simple terms to non-financial clients.
  • Proactive, persuasive, and target-driven personality.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is a bonus (not mandatory).
