Our client

A licensing and brand management company headquartered in Singapore with offices throughout Greater China & Southeast Asia. Our client specialises in consumer products licensing, retail solutions and promotional/sponsorship opportunities for IP brands.

Responsibilities

The Regional Licensing Sales Manager/Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in working together with the Partner and Business Unit to achieve the goals and objectives set by our client across SEA, particularly in Singapore and Malaysia. Through effective planning and budgeting, he/she will strive to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.

In addition, he/she will devise sales strategies and techniques to reach out to potential clients, generate leads for our client, and turn those leads into business deals. He/she will also be responsible for servicing and establishing excellent relationships with clients.

Main Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Direct sales responsibility (by brand, country, or category, depending on our clients strategy) for the region, inclusive of quarterly targets and thorough knowledge of products and prospective clients.
  • Perform all sales planning & reporting functions, including pipeline building, gap analyses, forecasting, re-forecasting, market/brand/category reports, and evaluations of brand extensions or new opportunities.
  • Develop relevant expertise to optimise performance, build brands, and grow sustainable business.

Team/Client Management and Service

  • Provide leadership and guidance to regional teams, leading them toward shared strategies.
  • Manage clients to ensure full compliance with licensors policies and guidelines, while supporting licensees in fulfilling obligations.
  • In consultation with the Partner, design a business calendar including sales strategy, marketing, and brand-building activities. Manage regional team tasks related to licensee servicing, retail programs, and sell-through support.
  • Report to the Partner on initiatives, compliance monitoring, and other key functions.

Monitor Licensee Obligations

  • Conduct regular business reviews with key licensees to ensure product development, distribution, and marketing align with contractual obligations.
  • Improve retail visibility for brands/licensed products.
  • Collaborate with the regional marketing team to develop and manage key retail accounts, ensuring prominent product placement at retail.

Account Receivables

  • Work with the Finance team to ensure licensees remit license fees and submit monthly/quarterly royalty reports on time.

Job Requirements

  • A university degree in a relevant field or extensive professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with strong business development expertise in sales and brand management across sectors like Fashion, Lifestyle, or FMCG.
  • Proven sales success in the SEA region.
  • Strong organisational, presentation, and team leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database tools.
