Process Development and Design Engineer - Residential Heat Pumps (m/f)

We are recruiting the following profile for a client which intends to develop and structure the business of Residential Heat Pumps.

YOUR NEW CHALLENGE:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Development and / or Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in the field of Residential Heat Pumps. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in the development and improvement of heat pump technologies for residential applications. You will also assist in the planning and implementation of procurement and production processes, with the end goal of setting up production lines. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in process development, design engineering, and a passion for innovative solutions in the residential heat pump sector.

RESPONSABILITIES:

Process Development:

• From conception to production: lead the planning, design, implementation and optimization of procurement and manufacturing processes for residential heat pumps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement efficient solutions.
• Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes to enhance performance, reduce costs, and increase overall productivity.

Design Engineering:

• In collaboration with R&D team, drive the design and development of components and systems for residential heat pumps.
• Utilize CAD tools and simulation software to create detailed designs and prototypes.
• Ensure designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration and Project Management:

• Work closely with project management teams to define project scopes, timelines, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions.
• Contribute to an agile and collaborative work environment.

Quality Assurance:

• Assist in the implementation of quality control protocols to ensure the reliability and durability of heat pump systems and components.
• Assist where needed in testing and analysis to verify compliance with industry standards and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in process development and design engineering, preferably in the residential heat pump industry.
• Familiarity with CAD software and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and project management.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Demonstrated interest and passion for contributing to sustainable and environmentally friendly technologies, particularly in residential heat pumps.
• Fluency in English.
• Communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
• Localization: Castelo Branco, Portugal.
