Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Advisor to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will provide expert legal counsel on commercial law matters, with a strong focus on Bulgarian and EU law, ensuring compliance and supporting our global operations. This role requires strategic thinking and hands-on experience in an international company, with expertise in commercial contracts, software licensing, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on commercial law, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating corporate and commercial agreements, ensuring compliance with Bulgarian and EU regulations;
• Enhance legal awareness and ensure compliance with internal polices and procedures across the organization;
• Advise on intellectual property (IP) matters, including software patents, trademarks, and licensing, with consideration of Bulgarian IP regulations and EU frameworks;
• Support cross-border transactions and partnerships, collaborating with internal teams and external counsel in different jurisdictions;
• Mitigate legal risks by developing and implementing practical business-oriented legal solutions;
• Work closely with the legal team to cultivate a collaborative and high-performing team environment;
• Provide expert guidance regarding development and implementation of workplace policies, as well as the resolution of complex internal employment concerns. This includes advising on compliance with legal standards and regulations, facilitating constructive approaches to employee relations and workplace culture;
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments in Bulgaria and the EU, advising on their impact on business operations and collaborating with respective governmental authorities;
• Ensure the proper organization and maintenance of company records and documentation in compliance with applicable legal requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Master's degree in Law;
• Minimum of 7+ years of post-qualification legal experience, preferably in an international software or technology company
• Experience with EU law, including GDPR, competition law, and consumer law, with an emphasis on their application in the technology sector. In addition, familiarity with other applicable regulations, such as national data protection laws, intellectual property law, employment law, and any sector-specific legislation relevant to the company's operations, is also essential;
• Familiarity with cross-border legal frameworks and international agreements.

Language Skills:

• Fluency in Bulgarian and English (written and spoken) is required, with excellent drafting skills in both languages.
