Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide user support for technical issues in PeopleSoft Financials and HCM through an internal ticketing system. Tickets must be managed to ensure that users are informed of progress or need for feedback.
  • Debug issues to identify causes and provide solutions on how to resolve.
  • Develop technical solutions for user issues, including updates to Peoplecode, SQL scripts or other scripts to resolve data issues, updates or amendments to workflow.
  • Resolve performance issues in processes by identifying bottlenecks and developing remediations.
  • Prepare projects and accompanying documentation for the PeopleSoft support team to migrate project to production.
  • Carry out quality control checks on the development of others and the documentation accompanying the projects.
  • Ensure that project and lessons learned documentation is maintained in the ICT document management system.
  • Report any system issues promptly to ICT management.
  • Support the application of patches, PUMs and testing post application, working closely with the database managers.
  • Manage any issues with integrations either between PS DBs or with external systems. This work will include liaising with business owners of external systems as well as external vendors.
  • Comply with requirement procedures and policies, in particular those on security and updates on or migrations to Production systems.
  • Provide information to internal and external auditors, or other reviews as required
  • Design solutions required to comply with internal audit recommendations, in particular on the Purchasing module.
  • Provide post go-live support for any solutions deployed to production.


Technical Requirements:

  • At least 6 years experience of working with the listed modules in PeopleSoft Financials & HCM, in at least version 9.X
  • Highly skilled knowledge of People Tools 8.5x
  • Highly skilled knowledge of PeopleCode, including application packages and workflow.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of security components in Peoplesoft, with ability to setup or modify security components as required.
  • Strong demonstrable knowledge of problem-solving technical issues and supporting a non- technical user group.
  • Strong demonstrable knowledge of developing technical solutions for listed modules in PeopleSoft Financials & HCM.
  • Experience of approval workflow creating new complex workflows.
  • Experience of designing integration broker messages and component interfaces and other integration methods including preferably, solution design for integration with Cloud SaaS solutions.
