About the job Full Stack Developer (EU)
You'll own end-to-end features for a data-intensive platform handling 100k+ rows with instant search, real-time updates, and complex filtering. You'll work across the stack — from database queries and API design to frontend performance — with a strong focus on backend depth and execution speed.
What you'll do
- Build and optimize data-heavy features using React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch — filtering, faceting, saved views, real-time updates.
- Design efficient APIs and database queries (indexes, pagination, cursor-based, aggregation) to handle large-scale datasets.
- Implement optimistic updates, conflict resolution, and retry queues for smooth user interactions.
- Own features from requirement to production — making smart trade-offs between speed, quality, and technical debt.
- Use AI tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot) daily to accelerate development.
- Continuously monitor and improve performance (query latency, rendering, scrolling FPS).
You may be a fit if you have
- 5+ years of full-stack experience with strong backend focus (Node.js, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch).
- Solid React/TypeScript skills (frontend is still important, but backend depth matters more).
- Experience building products or features end-to-end — you've shipped things people use.
- You use AI daily (Cursor, Claude, Copilot) to write, debug, and refactor code.
- Founder mindset — you've built side projects, MVPs, or your own products. You take ownership, move fast, and don't wait for perfect requirements.
- You understand database performance (indexes, query optimization, pagination strategies) and search (Elasticsearch).
Nice to have
- Experience with real-time collaboration (WebSockets, Liveblocks).
- Background in startups or building products from scratch.
- Open-source contributions or public side projects.
- Familiarity with feature flags, analytics (PostHog/Amplitude), and error monitoring.
We offer
- Remote within Europe.
- Small, autonomous team — no micromanagement.
- Heavy focus on execution speed and impact.
- Competitive B2B compensation.
