Python Engineer (LatAm)

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong Python expertise and solid system design fundamentals to join our team. This role requires an experienced engineer (3+ years) who can architect scalable systems, write clean and maintainable code, and move from idea to production with speed and ownership.

Full-Time | Remote

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that power the platform.
• Own features end-to-end — from system design and implementation to deployment and monitoring.
• Make architectural decisions that balance development velocity with long-term scalability and reliability.
• Write clean, testable, well-documented code following engineering best practices.
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers when needed.
• Contribute to engineering standards, tooling, and continuous improvement of backend practices.

Key Requirements

• 3+ years of backend development experience, with Python as your primary language.
• Strong experience with modern Python web frameworks (FastAPI, Django, or Flask).
• Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.) and data modeling.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
• Comfortable working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Solid understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring tools.

Nice to Have

• Logistics / trucking / fleet management experience (TMS, ELD, invoicing/factoring, IFTA, payroll)
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Background in distributed systems or data-intensive applications.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Previous startup experience.
