ML Engineer (I-Jepa,YOLO)

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer with expertise in computer vision, self-supervised learning, and object detection to implement and integrate JEPA-pretrained backbones into YOLO architectures. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with state-of-the-art vision models, deep learning frameworks, and practical deployment of object detection systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research & Development
  • Pretrain image backbone models (e.g., Vision Transformers) using I-JEPA on large, unlabeled datasets.
  • Integrate I-JEPA-pretrained backbones into YOLO detection
  • Adapt and fine-tune YOLO architectures for compatibility with custom backbones.
• Model Training & Evaluation
  • Design and execute experiments to compare self-supervised and supervised backbones in YOLO.
  • Optimize model performance for accuracy, speed, and resource efficiency.
  • Analyze results and iterate on model architectures and training
• Deployment&Maintenance
  • Develop reproducible, modular code for training, evaluation, and
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models into production
  • Monitor model performance and update models as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in deep learning, with a focus on computer

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Experience with Vision Transformers, self-supervised learning (e.g., I-JEPA, MAE), and object detection (e.g., YOLO).
• Strong knowledge of transfer learning, model fine-tuning, and evaluation metrics for detection tasks.
• Familiarity with large-scale training on GPUs or cloud

Other Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented
• Excellent communication and teamwork

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to open-source computer vision
• Familiarity with Hugging Face Transformers and model
• Prior work with custom backbone integration in detection
