About the job Senior Data Scientist (EU)
We are looking for a highly analytical and data-driven Senior Data Scientist who can transform raw data into actionable insights, predictive models, and strategic dashboards that guide Product, Marketing, and Operations.
You will own data science initiatives end to end, from data ingestion and feature engineering to experimentation, model deployment, and production monitoring. The focus of this role is ad monetization and optimization, including ranking systems, bidding strategies, fraud detection, and user-value prediction.
This is a high-impact, senior role with direct exposure to executive leadership and a clear growth path toward Data Director, including ownership of roadmap, hiring, and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
Dashboard & Reporting
- Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards using Looker (or similar) connected to BigQuery/SQL.
- Automate recurring reporting workflows and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
Predictive Modeling & Algorithms
- Develop and validate models for ROI, LTV, churn, and other core business metrics.
- Build and scale models for ranking, optimization, bidding, fraud detection, and user-value prediction.
- Apply clustering, anomaly detection, and advanced analytics to identify segments, fraud patterns, and optimization opportunities.
MLOps & Production
- Establish strong MLOps practices, including monitoring, retraining, and experimentation (A/B testing).
- Ensure long-term model health and measurable business impact in production environments.
Data Analysis & Insights
- Analyze publisher-level and user-level data to uncover trends, behavioral patterns, and growth drivers.
- Lead anti-fraud investigations, quantify risk exposure, and deliver clear, actionable reports.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support offer optimization, campaign performance, and strategic decisions.
Data Engineering & Automation
- Build and maintain data pipelines, scripts, and automation tasks in BigQuery or similar environments.
- Optimize query performance and cost efficiency through partitioning, clustering, and SQL best practices.
Operational Support
- Deliver acquisition, retention, and revenue funnel reporting via structured SQL and Excel workflows.
- Create reusable templates, macros, and processes for efficient recurring analyses.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Data Science, Analytics, or Data Engineering with strong hands-on skills in BigQuery, SQL, and BI tools (Looker or similar).
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for analysis and automation.
- Solid foundation in predictive modeling, clustering, and statistical analysis.
- Experience with anti-fraud systems, risk detection, or high-integrity data environments is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of data pipeline optimization, query efficiency, and cost management.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to translate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to manage multiple projects independently.
