SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to be part of our team.

  • He/She is responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of the system infrastructure, devices, servers, and client systems. Recommends new technologies and infrastructure upgrades to meet organization needs. Acts as a resource and mentor for other IT staff on technical questions, troubleshooting, and system design.
  • He/She has the responsibility in all implementations to make sure firewall rules and connectivity (whether MPLS, VPN, or application) is setup and maintained.
  • He/She is accountable for ensuring uptime and availability of Company's server and VDI infrastructure.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work directly with customers to troubleshoot and resolve the most complex network and server infrastructure issues.
  • Helps develop and modify the compans system architecture, topology, and infrastructure, and creates the implementation plans for system software and hardware to ensure compatibility and operability.
  • Helps design methodology and utilizes software and hardware tools to identify, diagnose, and correct problems affecting system performance.
  • Interacts with vendors and other sites to coordinate the installation, configuration, and use of multi-site systems.
  • Maintains quality of service by following organization standards and policies.
  • Implements and maintains complex systems along with monitoring the implementations to assure proper operation and adherence to standards.
  • Maintains logs and device inventories, as well as appropriate documentation including but not limited to application notes, drawings, and configuration information.
  • Actively participates in meetings concerning the evaluation and recommendation of system infrastructure designs and components.
  • Provides assistance and guidance to peers with day-to-day operations of applications and systems that IT supports.
  • Proactively and effectively communicate changes within the IT infrastructure to all effected parties. Follow and document strict testing and deployment methodologies for IT Operations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in related area preferred.
  • Eight years related experience and/or training is preferred.
  • Certification in Microsoft Certified (Azure, O365), Dell Associate DCA, VMware Certified Professional is preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Excellent ability to troubleshoot technical solutions on the fly in tense situations.
  • Expert level technical knowledge migration of the following:

    • Data from file servers to OneDrive/SharePoint to facilitate centralized file storage and collaboration.
    • Devices to Azure environments for streamlined management and enhanced security.
  • Expert level technical knowledge of the following:

    • SAML authentication for applications to enable seamless and secure single sign-on access.
    • DNS infrastructure.
    • Dell VSX and Unity SANs.
    • Managing VM environments.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of the following:

    • Mange/Upgrade all Windows servers.
    • Manage/Upgrade all SQL.
    • Remote Desktop Services (RDS) servers licensing.
    • Rubriks environment.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Manage internal CA certificates, including their renewal and alerting mechanisms.
  • Intermediate level knowledge managing GPOs for on-prem AD domains.
  • Willing to work on a night shift schedule and working on a hybrid setup
