About the role 

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager with a strong focus on the full spectrum of finances in the Philippines to join our dynamic team. As aFinance Manager you will be working with the Country Head of Finance as well as the  regional finance team helping to reinforcing Igloo's position as a leader in the insurtech industry and advancing our mission of making insurance accessible and affordable across diverse markets.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Work closely with the Head of Finance to support various commercial teams and operations team to establish the processes and SOP, transaction flows and accounting treatments
  • Oversee and review the reconciliation, ensure complete and accurate billing, and ensure correct taxes apply on each transaction
  • Ensure timely collections and payments, and monitor AR and AP closely
  • Maintain regular cash flow reports, and manage cash flow/ working capital effectively
  • Review and monitor the claim processing for various partnerships
  • Monitor monthly closing process, ensure timely and accurate month-end closing
  • Ensure balance sheet schedules are maintained and reconciled on a monthly basis
  • Ensure timely and accurate quarterly and annual reporting to Insurance Commission
  • Oversee periodical and annual tax reporting and payment, monitor tax planning to achieve tax efficiency, incl. transfer pricing
  • Owner of external audit and ensure timely completion and a clean audit report
  • Take care of secretarial and other bank matters
  • Review and approve staff expense claims
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Manage the company assets and inventories, incl. procurement administration and/or vendor management tasks
  • Take care of ad hoc projects or tasks as required

Job Requirements 

  • Degree in Accountancy, CPA, ACCA or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Finance Manager taking care of full spectrum of accounts, audit and taxes
  • Experience with insurance brokerage is an added advantage
  • Proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Enjoy communications, good verbal and written communication in English
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility and problem-solving attitude
