About the role

This role will assist the Finance Manager and be responsible for the full set of accounts of two Indonesian entities, which are in the business of insurance brokerage / technology. The candidate needs to be very familiar with the insurance industry and common taxes in Indonesia. It also requires the candidate to understand the business models of various partnerships well by perusing the commercial contracts and liaising with the commercial team. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor and follow up closely the aging of Receivable on brokerage fee and additional brokerage fee.
  • Reconcile and follow up SOA closely with Insurance for monthly production reports.
  • Prepare details all taxes (SPT PPH 21, 23, 4 ayat 2, PPN) before month-end closing.
  • Prepare journal entries required for month-end closing (e.g. Prepaid Expense amortisation, accruals of General Expenses)
  • Ensure all the journal entries are correct and all expenses in right category
  • Assist to manage the Companys Assets and ensure the purchase of assets are registered in the system and run monthly depreciation.
  • Prepare a monthly balance sheet schedule and ensure the details are matched with the balance sheet amounts.
  • Monitor the suspense, advance receipt and contra accounts and ensure the balance is zero (all money received and spent are settled).
  • Prepare OJK Report.
  • Prepare OJK Quarterly Financial Statement.
  • Prepare OJK Annual Audited Financial Statement.
  • Prepare OJK Business Plan (related to Financial Data).
  • Prepare OJK Business Plan Realisation (related to Financial Data).
  • Prepare annual Corporate Income Tax calculation and complete the Corporate Income Tax form (SPT PPh Badan) with nominative lists.
  • Assist with external audit (local & regional) process (e.g. providing the requested documents, attending to auditors queries, bank confirmation,etc.).
  • Take care of ad hoc projects or tasks as required.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy with at least 5 years of full set accounting and tax experience
  • Accounting and tax experience with brokerage/insurance is highly desired
  • Proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Hands-on, excellent attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility
  • Good verbal and written communication in English
  • Good interpersonal skills and good team player
