About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager based in Singapore, this role is a sole contributor who will be responsible for the full set of accounts of our Malaysia entities, which are in the business of insurance/brokerage/agency. The candidate should come with solid accounting and tax experience.
What you will do:
- Take care of AR and AP and ensure complete and accurate billing, including timely collections and payments;
- Support claim processing for various partnerships
- Maintain balance sheet schedules on a monthly basis
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing
- Ensure timely and accurate tax treatment and filing
- Owner of external audit and ensure timely completion
- Take care of secretarial and other bank matters
- Review and verify staff expense claims
- Manage cash flows and prepare monthly cash flow reports
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Manage the company assets and inventories, incl. procurement administration and/or vendor management tasks
- Take care of ad hoc projects or tasks as required
What you will need:
- Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience managing full spectrum of accounts, audit and taxes
- Experience with insurance/e-commerce/fintech would be advantageous
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Good verbal and written communication in English
- Meticulous and detail oriented
- Highly motivated and committed individual
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
