Ignite Recruitment is currently searching for a Sr Mechanical Engineer for a growing Trailer manufacturing company in Texas. Our client provides an excellent relocation package.

Relocation: $15,000

Salary Range: $110,000 (can go higher for right candidate)

Work Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 at home

Desired Abilities:

• Trailer manufacturing experience highly preferred
• Steel frame trailer work experience
• Steel chasse framing or structural experience
• Needs to have SolidWorks and CAD experience
• R&D experience preferred
• What can you design, what weight can it hold?

Responsibilities:

• Builds models and prototypes of trailers and tests the design.
• Studies the test data and makes comparisons with similar designs.
• Designs commercial trailers to propel the company’s growth and innovation.
• Works with a design team to create design sketches, layouts, and plans.
• Uses CAD software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of trailers.
• Produces specifications for trailers and chooses raw materials and components to be used in production.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Masters degree preferred.
• Five years of trailer or automotive experience preferred.
