About the Role
In this high-impact role, you will oversee energy procurement, sustainability strategy, and clean energy deployment for sites across the region. You'll work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, sustainability, and procurement teams to deliver measurable results in energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and cost optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead energy operations and sustainability strategy for multiple facilities across APAC.
- Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to design and implement clean energy programs.
- Identify and execute renewable energy procurement opportunities including PPAs and green certificates.
- Monitor and report on energy usage, emissions, and efficiency improvements.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for energy policy, market trends, and clean technologies in the region.
- Evaluate energy infrastructure investments and develop business cases for clean energy projects.
- Work closely with engineering and sustainability teams to align operations with long-term ESG goals.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy Management, or related field. Masters degree a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in energy operations, sustainability, or infrastructure project management.
- Strong understanding of energy markets, renewable technologies, and environmental regulations in Japan and APAC.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage external energy suppliers or consultants.
- Fluent in English and Japanese (business proficiency required).
