Responsibilities

  • Edit, produce, and optimize short-form videos for social media platforms (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) and review sites (Google Business, TripAdvisor, Yelp).
  • Create visually engaging video content, add captions, overlays, graphics, and motion elements consistent with brand style.
  • Seamlessly integrate voiceovers, music, and sound design into your edits.
  • Edit website videos for banners, product pages, or blogs, ensuring they are web-optimized and responsive.
  • Use AI tools for tasks like video generation, automatic background removal, caption generation, color correction, or minor motion enhancements (e.g., Flow, Adobe Firefly, Krea, Sora), while ensuring creative oversight and quality.
  • Collaborate with the graphic design and content teams to maintain visual consistency across campaigns.
  • Repurpose existing footage into multiple formats for different platforms.
  • Stay updated on video trends, platform requirements, and audience engagement strategies.
Shift: SL day time (9am - 6pm)
Location: Battaramulla (On-Site)


Requirements

  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar.
  • Familiarity with motion graphics tools (After Effects, Canva Motion, or similar) is a plus.
  • Ability to edit and optimize website and social media videos for loading speed, aspect ratio, and quality.
  • Experience or comfort using AI-assisted video tools for basic editing, color correction, and captioning.
  • Strong storytelling skills, pacing sense, and understanding of audience engagement.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Film, Animation, Multimedia, or related field considered a plus.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience in social media campaigns and short-form content creation.
  • Basic knowledge of sound editing and mixing.

  • Ability to repurpose long videos into multiple shorter pieces with clear messaging.
  • Creative thinking, problem-solving, and a balance of AI efficiency with hands-on editing skill.
  • Awareness of digital marketing principles understanding how video drives clicks, engagement, and conversions.
