Role Overview
We’re seeking a data-driven Email Marketing Specialist with a strong grasp of audience segmentation, targeting, and full-cycle campaign management. You'll be responsible for owning the email marketing function end-to-end from ideation and content coordination to deployment, optimization, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate has experience setting up automated workflows across the marketing funnel and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment by cross coordinating with QA, Data, Content and UI/UX teams to optimize email marketing performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Strategy & Execution
Plan, build, and deploy email marketing campaigns for promotions, lifecycle nurturing, product education, and seasonal events.
Execute end-to-end campaign management including concepting, audience segmentation, copywriting coordination, testing, QA, scheduling, and performance analysis.
- Automation & Workflows
Set up and maintain automated workflows for different stages of the customer journey (welcome series, cart abandonment, re-engagement, etc.).
Continuously improve automation logic based on data insights and user behavior.
- Audience Segmentation & Targeting
Develop and manage dynamic segments based on user behavior, preferences, past bookings, and engagement metrics.
A/B test subject lines, send times, and content blocks to optimize for opens, clicks, and conversions.
- Analytics & Optimization
Monitor email performance (open rates, click-through, bounce, unsubscribe, conversions, etc.) and report on insights weekly.
Implement strategies to improve deliverability and inbox placement.
- ESP Management
Work in Klaviyo or a similar ESP (Email Service Provider) to manage templates, lists, automations, and reports.
Ensure all campaigns are mobile-optimized, on-brand, and compliant with email best practices and privacy regulations.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in email marketing with a track record of driving results.
Strong hands-on experience with ESPs (Klaviyo preferred, but others like Mailchimp, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, etc., are acceptable).
Solid knowledge of customer segmentation, automated email journeys, and list hygiene.
Data-savvy mindset with experience using metrics to optimize campaign performance.
Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email and A/B testing platforms/tools.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Nice to Have
Experience in a B2C marketplace, travel, or lifestyle brand.
Knowledge of SMS marketing and integration with email campaigns.
Familiarity with Google Analytics and UTM tagging.
