Our client, a specialist Maxillo-Facial Surgeon based in Pretoria, is seeking to recruit an experienced Medical Receptionist to join their private practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, patient administration, and supporting the overall efficiency of the practice while delivering a calm, professional, and patient-focused experience.
Roles and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Manage patient reception and front desk operations in a professional and welcoming manner
- Schedule appointments and maintain the practice diary
- Handle all incoming calls, emails, and messages with timely and appropriate responses
- Assist patients with completing documentation and ensure patient records are accurately updated
- Capture and maintain patient information on the system
- Coordinate communication with laboratories and other healthcare providers
- Assist with the creation and coordination of theatre lists
- Process in-room payments and issue receipts
- Attend to billing, invoicing, and collection of consultation fees
- Allocate patient payments accurately
- Manage practice supplies and general administrative duties
- Ensure strict adherence to patient confidentiality and POPIA regulations
Requirements:
- Matric
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a medical practice
- Strong computer literacy, including MS Office
- Knowledge of medical aid billing and coding
- Experience with medical practice software
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans

Work Hours:
Monday to Friday, 07h30 – 16h30.
