Nurse (RN or EN) - OBGYN Practice

Enrolled Nurse or ENA (Private Practice) - Johannesburg

Our client, based in Johannesburg, is seeking to recruit a dynamic, energetic and professional Nurse to provide the relevant nursing services within a practice environment. We invite RNs and ENs to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Chaperoning doctor during examinations
• Answering and directing patient queries telephonically and via email
• Taking of blood samples
• Performing vitals
• Preparing of forms and reports for the doctor to complete
• Booking of theatre lists and deliveries
• Liaising with wards regarding admission, pathology labs regarding results
• Cleaning and preparing of instruments and ultrasound machine

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Current registration with SANC
• Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) qualification
• Experience within a private setting is advantageous
• Valid driver's license and own reliable transport
• Afrikaans will be advantageous
• Experience on VeriClaim software system will be advantageous
• A good understanding of Microsoft Office

• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written), with the capacity to communicate effectively with doctors, staff, patients and other health care professionals
• Ability to work within a team, as well as independently
• Dedication to the vision and goals of the practice
• The ability to remain calm and exhibit tact in stressful and/or delicate situations
• The ability to handle confidential issues with discretion

Working hours:

Monday to Friday 08h00 to 17h00
