Medical Receptionist / Personal Assistant

An extremely busy orthopaedic practice in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town requires a medical receptionist who will also fulfil a support role to the Practice Manager and Clinical Associate and attend to various personal administrative duties for the Dr. The candidate must be reliable, professional and organized and someone who will take initiative, be pro-active and provide a strong support function to the team.

Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

Attending to phone calls

Attending to patient bookings

Capturing patient information form

Scanning and filing

Triaging patient enquiries to the clinical assistant, accounts manager or practice manager

Assisting the Accounts team with phone calls to medical aids and debtors book management

All PA functions for the practice and the Dr such as flight bookings, monthly diary management, implementation of marketing initiatives etc

Attending to a neat and tidy reception area

Stocktaking

Management and ordering of office consumables

Travel is required to travel between the practice in the Southern Suburbs and Simons Town once a week.

Qualifications:

Matric

Experience in a medical practice is essential (Applications without any medical experience will not be considered)

Experience on GoodX is an advantage

Reception duty experience

Own transport essential

Skillset:

Microsoft outlook

Highly professional

Patient and customer centric

Empathetic and mature nature

Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills

Excellent telephone etiquette

Hardworking

Good at multitasking

Team player

Working hours:

Monday to Friday 8h00 to 17h00 (with after hours work based on the demand)
