A specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice in Johannesburg is seeking to recruit experienced Medical Receptionists to join a dynamic and patient focused team. The ideal candidates will be organised, professional, and passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience within a busy specialist environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients in a warm and professional manner
- Answer and direct incoming calls efficiently
- Manage appointment scheduling and diary coordination
- Capture patient information accurately and timeously
- Process payments and issue receipts
- Handle patient queries and provide accurate information
- Maintain a tidy, organised, and welcoming reception area
- Perform general administrative duties
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Qualification and Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar medical receptionist role
- Experience within an Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice advantageous
- Knowledge of ICD10 coding
- Experience with Vericlaim advantageous
- Computer literacy essential
- Own reliable transport required
- Non smoker

Work Hours:
Monday to Friday, rotating schedule:
Early week: 07h45 – 16h45, including one half day per week
Late week: 09h00 – 18h00 (or until finish if required)
Late weeks are scheduled approximately once per month.
