About the job Clinical Associate (BCMP Qualification), Neurosurgeon, Rustenburg
Our client, a specialist neurosurgery practice based in Rustenburg, is seeking to recruit a full-time Clinical Associate (BCMP qualified).
The successful candidate will support the neurosurgeon in delivering high-quality, patient-centred clinical care, including patient assessment, treatment support, and ongoing management within a busy private practice environment.
Roles and Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Assist with obtaining patient history and identifying patient needs
- Support and oversee day-to-day clinical tasks within the practice
- Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic and rehabilitation interventions
- Provide patient education, counselling, and ongoing support
- Facilitate appropriate referrals and prepare referral feedback
- Assist with the implementation and monitoring of treatment plans
- Accurately capture patient information, clinical notes, and treatment plans
- Interpret results from diagnostic and special investigations
- Utilise relevant diagnostic tools effectively within scope of practice
- Prescribe medication within scope of practice and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor of Clinical Medical Practice (BCMP)
- Active registration with the HPCSA
- 2–3 years' experience in a private healthcare setting
- Sound clinical knowledge and understanding of patient care processes
- Ability to work in a specialist, high-pressure environment
