Medical Receptionist ((Pulmonologist) - Vereeniging
Our client, a Specialist Pulmonologist based in Vereeniging, is seeking to recruit a medical receptionist.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answering calls in a professional, courteous and efficient manner.
- Managing diary bookings for patient appointments efficiently, including any external healthcare providers and in co-ordination with the technologist.
- Communicate billing policy to all new patients prior to their appointments.
- Welcome patients arriving in a friendly and professional manner and communicate time delays to manage client expectations.
- Allocate patient payments.
- Liaise with billing bureau.
- Assist the Doctor with all office admin related tasks.
- Keep the reception area neat and tidy.
Qualification and Requirements:
- Matric
- At least 2-3 years' experience in a similar medical receptionist position is advantageous
- Experience with medical billing (in-rooms) is advantageous
- Certificate or diploma in medical reception, switchboard or reception is advantageous.
- Must have knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Tech savvy and quick learner of new software programmes
- Microsoft office suite knowledge and experience is essential

Working hours:
- Monday to Friday, 08h00 - 17h00
