Oral Hygienist, Rondebosch, Cape Town

An established Orthodontic practice in Rondebosch, Cape Town is seeking to recruit an experienced Oral Hygienist. The ideal candidate will be passionate about orthodontics, capable of delivering high quality patient care, and able to contribute meaningfully to practice efficiency within a fast paced specialist environment.

Roles and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Provide oral hygiene treatments and preventative care to patients
• Manage an independent treatment chair where appropriate
• Assist with orthodontic procedures and patient preparation
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical notes
• Ensure adherence to infection control and sterilisation protocols
• Prepare and maintain clinical equipment and treatment areas
• Support the orthodontist with clinical procedures where required
• Maintain a clean, organised, and professional clinical environment
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and care
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and patient experience
• Anticipate practice needs and assist with problem solving where required

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Relevant Oral Hygienist qualification
• Current registration with the HPCSA
• 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role
• Orthodontic practice experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage own chair advantageous
• Proficient in English and Afrikaans
