A specialist dental practice in Cape Town is seeking to recruit a Treatment Coordinator to support patient engagement, treatment planning, and administrative coordination. This role is patient facing and plays a key part in guiding patients through their treatment journey, ensuring clear communication, consistent follow up, and a high standard of care within a close knit clinical team.
Roles and Responsibilities (but not limited to)
- Manage patient enquiries via phone, email, and WhatsApp
- Act as the primary point of contact for patient communication
- Triage queries and escalate clinical matters to the relevant team members
- Present and explain treatment plans, including costs, timelines, and processes
- Maintain and manage treatment plan follow up tracking
- Conduct follow ups with patients post consultation
- Support patients in decision making regarding treatment acceptance
- Record and update patient decisions and outcomes accurately
- Manage appointment bookings, rescheduling, and cancellations
- Coordinate appointment flow with the clinical team
- Maintain accurate and up to date patient records
- Upload and file patient notes and documentation
- Support general administrative duties within the practice
Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Previous experience in a dental, medical, or healthcare environment advantageous
- Experience in patient coordination or customer facing roles advantageous
- Proficiency in computer systems and ability to learn new platforms
- Experience with GoodX advantageous
- Familiarity with digital communication platforms including WhatsApp
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
