Location: Tulsa, OK
Pay Range: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Join our partner's team in Tulsa, OK, as a Medical Receptionist, where you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. Your responsibilities will include managing patient check-in, verifying insurance details, collecting payments, scheduling appointments, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role is essential in maintaining smooth clinic operations and ensuring patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction:

Greet patients and visitors promptly, providing a warm, courteous, and professional welcome.

Assist patients with inquiries, guide them to the appropriate departments, and ensure they understand clinic policies.

Manage patient check-in and check-out, verifying insurance details and collecting co-pays, deductibles, and past-due balances.
Scheduling and Communication:

Accurately schedule appointments for provider visits, lab work, imaging, and other services.

Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, directing them to the appropriate staff as needed.

Communicate appointment reminders, no-show policies, and prepare and mail new patient packets.
Data Management:

Enter patient information into the Practice Management System accurately for billing and record-keeping.

Verify and update patient insurance details and demographics at each visit.

Obtain required signatures on consent and insurance forms, maintaining compliance with legal requirements.
Administrative Support:

Balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift following clinic protocols.

Monitor and address voicemail messages, ensuring timely responses to patient inquiries.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all supplies are stocked.
Compliance and Confidentiality:

Adhere to HIPAA guidelines, protecting patient confidentiality at all times.

Maintain a professional image by following the clinics dress code and behavior standards.

Follow all clinic policies and procedures, maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience, with medical office experience preferred.

Proficiency with Practice Management Systems and/or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods while performing data entry.

Ability to navigate a multi-line phone system.
