Job Title: Medical Billing Follow-Up Specialist

Location: Edmond, Oklahoma

Rate: $18 - $22 per hour



We are actively seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Follow-Up Specialist with healthcare experience to join our partners team in Edmond, Oklahoma. This role is all about ensuring accurate and timely payment processing, handling unpaid claims, and providing excellent support to both patients and insurance providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage unpaid claims by contacting insurance companies and verifying coverage details.
• Investigate and resolve insurance denials, making necessary corrections for payment.
• Communicate with patients to clarify account balances and coverage questions.
• Maintain accurate records of account status and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Facilitate patient access to financial assistance programs when needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth billing operations.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations to protect patient information.

What Were Looking For:

• Strong understanding of medical billing, coding, and follow-up processes.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and billing software.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in medical billing, follow-up, or related field required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent data entry.
• Physical ability to sit, perform data entry and view computer screens for long periods at a time.

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
