PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To maintain and provide in-house high-density accommodation for resident employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12/NQF Level 4 is essential
  • MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • SAP experience is essential
  • Diploma or NQF 6 Equivalent in HR, Finance or Facility Management is essential
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience as a Facility Quality Controller or in HR or Finance is essential
  • Exposure to facility management, kitchen/catering management is essential

COMPETENCIES:

  • Contractor Management knowledge
  • Mine Health & Safety act, OSH Act as well as Environmental Legal requirements.
  • Hygiene and sanitation knowledge
  • General maintenance knowledge
  • Good communication skills (Fluent in English)
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Problem Solving Skills
  • People management skills

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • To ensure compliance with mine health and safety and environmental legislation in compliance to regulations
  • To ensure that residences are conducive to recreational activities and accommodation related leisure time.
  • To ensure compliance to mining charter requirements regarding in-house catering and offer other new options to contribute to Impala's nutritional plan.
  • To maintain residence facilities to industry standards.
  • To ensure that all flora is maintained to the required standards.
  • To comply to hygiene and sanitation standards by ensuring that facilities are clean and in a good condition.
  • Accommodation capacity administration - ensure that the residences are optimally utilized
  • To schedule mourners transport and funerals and assist beneficiaries with all benefit claims (Welfare admin)
  • General management of residence admin staff and contractor management
