PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To provide a general Human Resources service in designated area of responsibility to ensure compliance to relevant HR legal requirements as per company's HR policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 certificate (NQF Level 4) is essential.
- Human Resources Diploma/Degree pr NQF Equivalent is essential
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the HR field is essential
- Computer Literacy (MS Office Package) is essential
- Valid Medical certificate is essential or must be medically fit in order to obtain such certificate
COMPETENCIES:
- Must have good communication skills
- Knowledge of SAP HR essential
- Knowledge of SACO Enterprise T & A is essential
- Knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act, regulations, and definitions (Red Tickets) is essential
- Understanding of the Labour Relations Act (Act 66 of 1995) essential
- Understanding of the Labour Relations Act with respect to Collective Agreements and Bargaining Councils is essential.
- Understanding of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (Act 75 of 1997) essential
- Must be assertive and multi-lingual
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Compiles daily, weekly and monthly HR Reports to assist management in making informed decisions (i.e. absenteeism, leave (including sick leave) and training).
- Assists management to comply with legal requirements (i.e. ensuring that employees have valid red tickets, training plotters, first aid and legally required qualifications).
- Ensures that all medical certificates are scrutinised and verified with the Council of Medical Practitioners to ensure validity.
- Facilitates and ensures hearing loss counselling sessions are conducted, and reports are submitted to management.
- Ensures disciplinary actions are taken fairly against attendance related misconducts.
- Ensures that all communication related matters (briefs & feedback forms, ITV, Photos etc.) are timeously attended to, distributed and reported.
- Provides administrative support pertaining various HR related functions.
- Facilitates and ensures hearing loss investigations are conducted.
- Ensures that non-availables processes are followed and adhered to.
- Ensures the correct capturing of records (i.e. exit interviews, disciplinary actions, hearing counselling/investigations).
- Assists HR management with the implementation of the employee wellness program.
- Facilitates and acts as an interpreter during Disciplinary Hearings.
- Manages labour as per labour business plan.
- Facilitates and ensures Incap process including its meeting are conducted at the operations level.
- Assists HR Management with HR Best Practice compliance
