PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Protection Services Department by managing confidential information, operating digital security systems, and ensuring effective coordination of security‑related functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • NQF Level 4 (Grade 12) essential.
  • NQF Level 5 National Certificate in Office Administration / Practice will be an added advantage.
  • PSIRA Grade A grading essential
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years relevant experience within the Security- or Protection Services environment.
  • Knowledge of Protection Services systems and database (i.e. screening, online intelligence, access control, incident mgt.)
  • Knowledge of surveillance system (i.e. CCTV, alarms, camera systems, Videofied)
  • Knowledge of X-Ray systems.
  • Basic understanding of company's Protection Services policies and procedures.
  • Sound computer literacy (MS Office essential and SAP knowledge will be an advantage.
  • High attention to detail with strong organising, planning and report writing skills.
  • Good communication-, customer services-, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Medically fit (BMR and PMR)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Monitor contractors' attendance and timekeeping on a daily basis
  • Monitor electronic access control systems
  • Handle, store, and protect confidential security information in line with company policies
  • Prepare and distribute contractor letters relating to screening and access control
  • Administer the 100 Club Points system and resolve related queries
  • Create maintenance and repair orders on SAP
  • Create reservations and requisitions on SAP for issuing ordered items
  • Oversee daily operations of the screening office
  • Submit invoices to the Accounts Department and resolve related queries
  • Conduct operational searches within the plant and surrounding areas
  • Audit footage and images related to safety and security incidents
  • Maintain accurate electronic and manual filing systems to ensure full traceability
  • Assist with loading case dockets and incidents on the CiiMS (Online Intelligence) system
