POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position will be part of the dynamic team based at Engineering Transport & Services - SMC, reporting to the Transport Supervisor.

JOB TITLE – Truck Driver

JOB GRADING – B2

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 3 Ordinary Level passes
• Clean Class two drivers license
• Class one drivers licence will be an added advantage
• Valid Defensive Driving Certificate
• At least three years of driving experience
• Good understanding of SHEQ standards and procedures

KEY COMPETENCIES:

• Mature disposition
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducting pre-use inspection and operating checklists on the light duty trucks
• Advising on the maintenance and servicing of the trucks as per schedule
• Ensuring that high standards of cleanliness are maintained for the trucks
• Carrying out housekeeping and adhering to the Five Point Safety System, Platinum Rules, Safe Production Rules, and other requirements of the companys Business Management Systems Policy
• Transportation of goods and other driving duties as instructed by supervision
