JOB TITLE Foreman - Boilermaking

JOB GRADING C6

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Apprenticeship-trained Class 1 Artisan Boilermaker
• National Diploma or City and Guilds T5 is an added advantage
• At least 5 years post apprenticeship experience in a mining or heavy engineering environment
• Knowledge of planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance systems
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and Zimplats Business Management System (BMS)
• Knowledge of the Business Management Systems (BMS), ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO 55 000

LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES:

• A self-starter with excellent interpersonal, planning, and problem-solving skills
• Supervision and organisational skills experience are a must

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the implementation of planned and unplanned Boilermaking maintenance activities at the SMC Concentrator

• Overseeing all Fabrication/Boilermaking projects including resource allocation, task management and progress monitoring
• Maintaining a safe working environment and promoting a strong safety culture within the Boilermaking team
• Providing technical guidance and support to all artisans under his leadership to ensure that work is executed to the required standard
• Training and mentoring of subordinates, fostering their skills development and knowledge sharing
