PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To effectively, accurately, and timeously do costing of service invoices and check payment runs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12/NQF Level 4/STD 10 (with Maths & Accounting) is essential
  • Finance/Accounting/Business Management Degree or NQF 7 Equivalent
  • At least 5 7 years' experience working in a Finance environment
  • SAP experience is essential
  • General knowledge of mining is essential
  • Awareness of customer service is essential
  • Exceptional knowledge of procurement, accounts payable, warehouse and logistics processes, rules and standards.
  • VAT knowledge is essential
  • Valid Medical certificate or medically fit to obtain such a certificate

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Ensures all (order and/or non-order) invoice processing activities by a balance of accounts payable processing.
  • Leads the Impala team to ensure that supplier queries and disputes are resolved effectively and on time.
  • Understands the typical root cause of the various processing errors and how to resolve them.
  • Understands and complies with payment workflow/approval processes.
  • Ensures cashflow optimisation.
  • Ensures that stop-supply risks are minimised and paying suppliers on time.
  • Ensures data relating to accounts payable and P2P processes are correctly captured within given systems.
  • Reconciliation procedures, using reconciliation tools, and checking/interrogating data and information sources.
  • Actively communicates with Suppliers and Internally regarding schedule of payments and queries.

Prepares and presents monthly AP reports to key stakeholders, including agreed-upon KPIs.

  • Builds, supports and maintains healthy diverse internal and external relations and implements remedial actions where required.
  • Provides relevant support to stakeholders to ensure team objectives are achieved.
