PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To provide an opportunity for graduates to obtain relevant practical work experience by contributing to the company's hygiene programme, maintaining the ISO 17020 system and ensuring legal compliance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- NQF 7 degree in Environmental Health / Occupational Hygiene and registered with the SAIOH on assistant level.
- Occupational hygiene legal knowledge certificate essential.
- Good understanding and technical knowledge within the field of study.
- Medically fit for BMR and or PMR.
TRAINING PROGRAMME:
- Twenty four (24) months internship with a set training programme that will enhance general knowledge of the platinum industry.
- The programme will also provide sound understanding on hygiene practices, SANAS 17020 requirements and the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSH).
- Exposure in the monitoring of the ventilation systems, conducting health risk assessments and contributing to the personal monitoring programme are also included.
