PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Rotable controller will be responsible for ensuring that the company select the most appropriate

goods and services based on price, quality and service support.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 / Std 10 (NQF 4) is essential.
  • Diploma in Engineering related discipline, or Maintenance Management, Diploma/Certificate or related certification is desirable
  • Computer literacy MS office is essential.
  • 3-5 years of SAP Plant Maintenance and procurement (purchasing or repairs) or logistics experience, preferably in an operational environment in the mining industry is essential
  • Strong business focus, highly motivated and committed to continuous improvement is essential
  • Able to work effectively with all levels of management is essential
  • Analytical ability using SAP/IT platforms is essential
  • Understanding of supporting systems, SAP PM, Procurement, SAP BW Reporting, and Microsoft Office applications will be preferred is essential
  • Valid medical certificate is essential and must be fit in order to obtain such a certificate

COMPETENCIES:

  • Must have good administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Must have good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Must be English literate with good communication skills (on all levels)
  • Must be able to work under pressure

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Report maintenance contractual strategy with regards to repair management.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing regular updates to the stakeholders and Engineering Manager.
  • Monitor inventory to ensure availability for planned maintenance and defect rectification within the maintenance environment in order to support planned work.
  • Reporting on cost control and supplier management through a process of commercial (PTP) management meetings with correlating vendor KPIs.
  • Review all current Rotables component inventory and cost relating to maintenance operations and ensure that the best outcome is being achieved via the leverage of the Impala Platinum.
  • Contribute to the development of a continuous improvement and self-development culture
  • Ensure at all times that good housekeeping practices are demonstrated
  • Proper responsibility for the Company Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and all other Company Policies, rules and arrangements ensuring that personal responsibilities are met (see specific responsibilities)
  • Contribute towards the formulation and implementation of the Companys strategy
  • Provide a professional, quality support service to business at all times.
