PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To provide an Employee Relations service to all stakeholders.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12/NQF Level 4 is essential
- National Diploma in Human Resources/ER is essential
- 5 years experience in the HR environment is essential
- MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential
- SAP HR and SACO is essential
- Experience in dealing with employee problems, handling of grievances and disciplinary
- Administration related experience is essential
COMPETENCIES:
- Apply the skills of customer care in a specific work environment
- Apply principles of dispute management in labour relations
- Good command of the English language
- Good communication Skills
- Good report writing Skills, Demonstrate an understanding of good stakeholder relations in the organization
- Apply an understanding of the Labour Relations Act (Act 66 of 1995)
- Apply an understanding of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (Act 75 of 1997)
- Understanding of Dispute Resolution Legislation and Procedures
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Compiles annual schedules of Employee Relations meetings and events.
- Arranges scheduled and ad-hoc Employee Relations meetings (Meetings between management, unions, and employees).
- Attends employee relations meetings and takes minutes thereof.
- Chairing engagements forum with the union leadership
- Responsible for ER Forum tracker and ensuring that the meetings take place
- Submit ER Monthly presentation report
- Arrange capability building sessions for the Branch office bearers
- Manages all ER Managers electronic diaries.
- Takes minutes of various formal interactions such as meetings with the unions and keeps record thereof.
- Manages all incoming CCMA processes/cases set-down notices.
- Oppose condonation application and object Con-Arbs when required within the prescribed timelines.
- Obtains files from shafts/workplaces and assists ER Managers in compiling disciplinary/CCMA bundle documents.
- Submit Monthly CCMA Cases report
- Handles union representatives attendance related transactions.
- Create transport requisition and liaises with other relevant stakeholders such as HR Personnel, Transport Management.
- Handles union representatives queries.
- Liaises with CCMA administration personnel.
