PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Medium Voltage and LV electrical reticulation and associated equipment at the Concentrator Plant

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

    • N3 plus recognized Electrical Trade Certificate is essential
    • A minimum of 4 years working exposure as an Artisan
    • Working exposure as an Electrician/Technician responsible for the following is essential:
    • Exposure and experience in Processing plant
    • Exposure and experience in Milling, flotation and crushers
    • Exposure and experience in pumps
    • 11 kV and 33 kV switching operation
    • 11 kV and 33 kV overhead lines would be considered an advantage
    • Indoor and outdoor substations equipment.
    • Medium voltage switching and fault-findings
    • General LV Wiring 230-550 volts
    • Computer literacy is essential, and SAP experience will be advantageous.
    • Medical certificate or medically fit to obtain one is essential

KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS:

The successful candidate is responsible to:

  • Be able to do maintenance, fault finding and breakdowns.
  • Be prepared to work at heights.
  • Be responsible and accountable for the electrical network in a set area
  • Undertake legal inspections and testing of electrical equipment.
  • Complete daily inspections and repairs in HT substations as required.
  • Update legal documents to mine standards.
  • Familiar with quality management system and standards
  • Supervision of contractors
  • Do standby, be prepared to work overtime and must have own transport
