Telehandler Driver

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To safely load, move and off-load heavy materials from a certain loading point to a specific offloading point for operation purpose.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 or NQF equivalent 4 is essential
• Code 10 Drivers Licence (C1) is essential
• Telehandler License Code C46 is essential

• 1-3 years' telehandler driving experience in driving heavy material lift truck in a mining environment is essential

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Receive trip instructions from the responsible person about loads, moves and off-loads of materials using a telehandler.
• Observes component performance.
• Reports deviations to the responsible person.
• Conducts crane inspections and housekeeping.
• Reports defects.
• Renders support with ad-hoc tasks.
• Adheres to safety procedures and practices.
