PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To lead and supervise the allocated drafting team and ensure all drawings comply with engineering standards and mining safety.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12/Matric or NQF4 Equivalent (with Mathematics and Physical Science) is essential
- Structural Draughting Certificate is essential
- Structural Draughting Diploma is advantageous
- Project Management qualification is advantageous
- 5-7 years Experience in a Structural & Civil drafting environment is essential
- 3 years experience in Tekla Structures Software is essential
- 3 years Surface Mining industry drafting experience is essential
- Document Control & Standards is advantageous
- Leadership & Supervisory role experience is advantageous

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produces high quality drawings.
- Ensures drawing accuracy and compliance.
- Leads and supervises Drafting team.
- Assists in checking and reviewing drawings for accuracy and completeness.
- Manages drawing revisions and documentation.
- Supports project planning.
- Implements and maintains Drafting standards.
- Utilises Tekla software for drawing preparation.
- Supports and participates in change management initiatives to drive transformation and optimisation.
- Provides relevant support to stakeholders to ensure team objectives are achieved.
- Participates in regular safety meetings and makes recommendations to ensure overall safety.
